1986About
Stone machinery, built in Isfahan since 1986.
Isfahan is the centre of Iran’s stone industry. Alaow has built machines for its workshops and plants since 1986, and today makes every machine needed to process stone into slabs and tiles.
The 10,000 m² Alaow plant on the Mahmoudabad Industrial Estate keeps the whole job under one roof: design, machining, chassis fabrication, welding, sandblasting, assembly and electrical. Besides plants across Iran, Alaow machines have shipped to Iraq, Egypt, Afghanistan, Georgia and Kazakhstan.

01The founder
Seifollah Sheikh Mohammadi was born in 1958 in Buin Miandasht, Fereydan. After school he moved to Tehran and, until 1979, worked in the workshop of Hossein Shojaei, known as Hossein Gorji, one of the pioneers of stone machinery in Iran. Those years took him across the country installing and commissioning machines, and made him a master builder of stone saws.
Back in Isfahan he worked from a small workshop with two partners, and in 1986 bought Alaow Machine, then a small company. Through steady work Alaow grew into a maker of every machine on a slab and tile line, built to stand comparison with imported equipment.
